Je prefer les chiens, parce que ils sont plus agreables. Et aussi, les chats sont trop independents por moi.

What the hell, I feel like I'm in the press box at a Canadiens game...
When God created donkeys, he gave them the choice of speaking donkey or speaking French. The donkeys chose to speak French.

Alright, Francophiles, can anyone translate the Electric Light Orchestra for me?
Accroches-toi a ton reve
Accroches-toi a ton reve
Quand tu vois ton bateau partir
Quand tu sents -- ton coeur se briser
Accroches-toi a ton reve.
Here ya go, Lewbaby:
Συζεύξεις έχετε τις reve Syzey'xejs σας εσύ έχετε reve σας πότε βλέπετε το καράβι σας να φύγετε πότε εσύ sents καρδιά σας να σπάστε τις συζεύξεις έχετε reve σας.
(Not Russian.)
This is a bit of a thread jack, but what the hell, I'm a moderator.
Recently Erin was sitting on the tarmac on a flight from Charleston, SC to Seattle when one of the flight attendants asked if anyone spoke Russian.
Erin responded (loudly, which is SO unlike her ) дет проблемой?.
Immediately she was the offical Delta translator for a Russian couple, one of whom was having a medical emergency. Erin's Russian is passable, but like most of us who know more than one language, there's a lot that is not in her vocabulary. When she got to the point of not understanding, she ran back to her seat, grabbed her cell and called her friend, a native Russian. Got Inga on the phone to tanslate the technical parts and passed on the word that the Russian woman had simply had a panic attack and didn't need a doctor.
Let's all give thanks that Erin was not detained by the DHS for bering a terrorist.
Delta's reward to Erin: Extra peanuts. Oh, and the secret Pringles they keep in the galley.
You know, Gae, that's fine if I'd asked when the next Trans-Siberian express leaves for Vladivostok. But I wanted GL to translate Jeff Lynne for me.
However, I did not know that Erin spoke Russian. I know our mutual friend spoke with her not long ago, I'm going to ask her to have Erin call me and, in Russian, tell me she's a "tamer of men."
I had french toast for breakfast yesterday!
And, I had a guiness with fish and chips for dinner too!
pretty darn tasty stuff!
GL is BUSY right now. You'll hear from him sometime. When he isn't so BUSY!! (Email me if you want details.)
Y'all need to run to Kroger RIGHT NOW and get whatever you need to sustain yourselves. Erin is going to France in June, and I'm sure we'll have an international incident.
And just so you know, LewBaby, Erin has Russian, French, Turkish and Thai. She's also BUSY, so here you go:
Укрощает людей.
He started his new job today!
Congrats again GL!
